Red Comet was founded in 1999 with the goal of helping students in need. We firmly believe that a solid education helps to inspire students to greater achievement and success in our ever-changing world. Our goal as leading providers of digital education is to help ensure that every single student has access to necessary education opportunities. We also work to help them contribute to an enriched society and to a sustainable economy.


Breaking Down Barriers with Online Education

The barriers facing our students are as diverse as our students themselves. In some cases, these barriers are financial, while in others they may be related to time, disability, pregnancy, or other life circumstances. Sometimes, it just so happens that gifted students are bored in a traditional school setting and look to take our challenging Advanced Placement courses. We firmly believe that all of our students are deserving of the best educational opportunities possible, whatever their needs may be. We strive to break down some of the common barriers to education by offering the very best online education program.


Digital Learning and Dropout Prevention

More than 10,000 students have completed over 15,000 courses through our digital learning program. We feel that we have created an ideal place for students to choose the courses that are best suited to their needs and education levels. Our digital learning program will help them make the most of their learning experience. Our digital learning school firmly believes that we need to work hard to have a positive impact on society and we do so in a variety of ways. We partner closely with schools and school counselors to help identify the students who can use our dropout prevention program.


Students Choose Our Virtual School

We also believe that all students should engage in digital learning only by choice. Students are not forced to enroll in our program by their schools, and in fact it is often dedicated parents who convince schools to work with the virtual school we have here at Red Comet. Our history of building strong partnerships with parents has helped us understand the needs of the students at a school. This, in turn, leads to a strong bond with the school counselor, principal or registrar. Red Comet has many close partnerships with schools and has worked hand-in-hand with them to improve the school’s graduation rate.


Credit Recovery to Advanced Placement

We know that all of our students have different starting points and even different goals, and we strive to provide a digital learning curriculum that reflects this. Teachers and school counselors can help direct students who are lacking in certain proficiencies to the courses that teach the fundamentals in that subject area. If a student demonstrates high proficiency, the student can be guided to take our advanced placement courses. We offer digital learning courses to challenge the thinking of students at every level, and our commitment to providing the best education possible shines through at every step of the Red Comet experience.
